Dorchester Art Project is home to 13 artist studios, a gallery and a performance space dedicated to promoting exhibitions and events organized by local artists across many disciplines. Earlier this year, my friend Dory Dinoto and I co-curated an art show at DAP called Caught in a Dream. Our show included many emerging artists and was made possible by the vision and support of this amazing space. As DAP transitions to a new lease and a new leadership team they are aiming to raise $4,000 by September 22, 2017. Additionally, DAP has plans to start a new artist residency program and begin offering youth art classes to neighboring residents in an area of Boston that is not well served by art organizations. Please consider donating to their GoFundMe page to help keep this space open and active. Any amount helps!
