February 7-27, 2019
25 Lowell Street, Cambridge, MA Juried by Martha Wakefield Opening Reception: Saturday, February 9, 11am-1pm In This is how it starts we endeavor to explore artistic process, by exhibiting the place where new ideas and energies often emerge – the sketchbook. For some artists, the sketchbook serves as a warm-up to their studio practice; for others, it is a place to record explorations and capture new ideas. For others, there is no sketchbook – but rather, preparatory drawings or painting, written musings, figure sketches. And, there is the digital sketchbook – the iPad.
