124 Mt. Auburn Street, Cambridge, MA 02138 Opening Reception: Thursday, July 12 from 6-9pm The Cambridge Art Association (CAA) presents a non-juried show of still-lives. “But in a still life, there is no end to our looking, which has become allied with the gaze of the painter; we look in and in, to the world of things, in their ambiance of cool or warm light, in and in, as long as we can stand to look, as long as we take pleasure in looking.” ― Mark Doty “I try to construct a picture in which shapes, spaces, colors, form a set of unique relationships, independent of any subject matter. At the same time I try to capture and translate the excitement and emotion aroused in me by the impact with the original idea.” ― Milton Avery Gallery Hours: Mon.-Fri. 9am-6pm & Sat. 9am-1pm July 5-July 28, 2018
