November 8-December 20, 2018
25 Lowell St., Cambridge, MA 02138 Opening Reception: Thursday, November 8, 6-8pm Artist Talk: TBD For nearly 20 years, the Cambridge Art Association has hosted a fall exhibit, open to artists from the New England states, centered around a color--RED or BLUE, depending on the year. Both the success of the exhibit series, and the challenge to participating artists lies in channeling the varied meanings of a color like RED. It is the color of action, violence, heat. It is the color of luck, happiness, passion. Gallery Hours: Tue.-Sun. 12-6pm Image: ...in the eye of the beholder, 2018, oil on canvas, 15 x 11 inches

Spaceus is a shared artist studio and community space that currently runs out of a former retail location in Harvard Square. I recently joined the collective as an artist member and am looking forward to participating in Cambridge Open Studios with them this weekend.
On Friday, September 28th from 7-9pm Spaceus will be hosting an opening reception to celebrate the opening of their Harvard Location. Come hang out, shop and kick off Open Studios weekend at the store. On Saturday and Sunday, September 29th & 30th, I plan to be working at the studio on some small collages and drawings. The store will be open from 12-8pm. Stop by and say hi! Click here for the Cambridge Open Studios 2018 Map. RSVP to the opening reception on the Eventbrite page. September 7-22, 2018

Auburn Street, Cambridge, MA 02138 Opening Reception: Thursday, July 12 from 6-9pm The Cambridge Art Association (CAA) presents a non-juried show of still-lives. “But in a still life, there is no end to our looking, which has become allied with the gaze of the painter; we look in and in, to the world of things, in their ambiance of cool or warm light, in and in, as long as we can stand to look, as long as we take pleasure in looking.” ― Mark Doty “I try to construct a picture in which shapes, spaces, colors, form a set of unique relationships, independent of any subject matter. At the same time I try to capture and translate the excitement and emotion aroused in me by the impact with the original idea.” ― Milton Avery Gallery Hours: Mon.-Fri. 9am-6pm & Sat. 9am-1pm July 5-July 28, 2018
