bioGraphical @ Gallery 5
February 1-14, 2009
855 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, MA 02215
Opening Reception: Friday, February 6 | 6-9pm
Located on the fifth floor of the College of Fine Arts, Gallery 5 enhances the quality of life of the undergraduate students in the School of Visual Arts by offering them a professional exhibition space near their studios where they are able to plan, propose, and install their own exhibitions. Students consult with the Visual Arts Faculty and administrative office, but are responsible for all aspects of their exhibition’s curation, including selection, display, and advertising. These exhibitions rotate on a biweekly basis during the regular academic year.
bioGraphical is a solo show that I proposed this semester. The show includes work I created over the past year while studying abroad in Venice, Italy, WOOFING on a farm in San Polo in Chanti, Italy and while working in my undergraduate studio in Boston, MA. The show includes line drawings and photographic "sketches," paintings and mixed-media drawings.
