November 2, 2018-January 11, 2019
321 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472 Opening Reception: Thursday, November 15, 5:30-7:30pm This exhibit explores the universal desire to frame home as the center of our lives. Each artist may submit artwork that is a representation of home, and by extension, community. Artwork could be a literal depiction of home such as a house, neighborhood, schoolyard, or town; or it could depict your family, friends or the culture from which you came. I am excited to have four pieces included in this show, two of which are new. The “No Place Like Home” exhibit, timed to coincide with the Watertown Children’s Theatre 35 anniversary celebration, takes its title from The Wizard of Oz and Dorothy’s desire to leave Oz and return home by reciting the magical “No Place Like Home” mantra. Gallery Hours: Mon.-Fri. 12-5pm and during performances and special events Image: Living Room study, 2018, oil on canvas, 11 x 14 inches
